The Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition can once again this year count on the support of BNP Paribas Fortis. The Bank has been a loyal partner to this major classical music event since 1991. The long-term commitment of BNP Paribas Fortis to this event enables the Competition to maintain its high standards of organisation and to expand its reach both in Belgium and on an international scale. One of the great advantages of the Bank’s involvement is to make the concerts which take place as part of the Competition available to a broad and varied public. Moreover, BNP Paribas Fortis provides further backing to the winning artists by organising each year a series of concerts across Belgium at which they are invited to play. The main purpose of this additional support initiative is to help new, young talent to gain greater public recognition and launch their careers in this country. In Belgium, in addition to its support for the Queen Elisabeth Competition, BNP Paribas Fortis partners a number of noted musical institutions and events, including La Monnaie/De Munt opera house, the Klarafestival, the Flagey Cultural Centre and the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR).
It’s all thanks to our players! Every day, our players make sure huge numbers of people are happy. They create opportunities and deliver on the Belgian National Lottery’s commitments. It’s thanks to our players that we were able to reinvest EUR 185,300,000 in a host of civil society projects and associations that have humanitarian, social, athletic, cultural, and scientific objectives in 2018. Everyone’s a winner with the Belgian National Lottery: #proudpartner #everyonecounts #nationallottery
